Visualize Objects Independently

This section provides a tutorial on how to visualize objects independently with different representation styles in PyMol.

If you load multiple objects into a single state, you can visualize them independently with different representation styles.

The following PyMol session shows you how to show alcohol as "lines" and methane as "sticks":

PyMOL>delete all
PyMOL>load Molecule-Methane.sdf, Methane, 1
PyMOL>load Molecule-Alcohol.sdf, Alcohol, 1

PyMOL>hide all
PyMOL>show sticks, Methane
PyMOL>show lines, Alcohol
