Send Message Errors on Thunderbird
This section provides examples of send message errors occurred while sending email messages with Thunderbird.
If you send a new email message to a mail server using Thunderbird, it may run into errors in the delivery process on the server. A "Send Message Error" dialog box will be displayed with a detailed error messages.
Here are some examples of send message errors.
1. Certificate is not trusted - In this case, you try to send it again and override the certificate exception. Or import the server certificate into the "Servers" tab with the Certificate Manager to make it trusted.
Send Message Error Sending the message failed. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.
2. Relay access denied - In this case, you may entered an incorrect email address, and the server does not know how to deliver it. Or the server configuration is wrong.
Send Message Error Sending the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: herong@herongyang.com: Relay access denied.
If you don't understand the error message, you should send it to the administrator of the mail server and request help.
