Import Server Certificates to macOS

This section provides a tutorial example on how to import and install a Web server certificate to macOS using Keychain Access.

If want to import a Web server certificate into Keychain Access on a macOS computer, you need to save the certificate as file, then import it into Keychain Access.

1. Save the Web server certificate as a certificate file using Safari:

2. Import the certificate file using Keychain Access:

You can also double-click the certificate file, www.bing.com.cer, in Finder. It will be automatically imported into "Login" keychain and "Certificates" category.

By the way, Web server certificates can only be imported into "Login" keychain and "Certificates" category.
