Windows 8: System Version Information
This section provides a tutorial example on how to check Windows 8 system version and service pack level information.
The first step of Windows 8 system security review is to understand your system version and service pack level.
1. Type in and tun "msinfo32" in the "Search > Apps" input field. You will see the "System Information" screen.
2. Review and record the version information of your Windows 8 system, like:
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 8 Version: 6.2.9200 Build 9200
