Windows 8: Create Restore Point
This section provides a tutorial example on how to create a system restore point manually on Windows 8 system.
Before making any changes to the Windows 8 system, you should create a system restore point so that you can rollback changes by restoring the system to the state before those changes.
1. Go to "Control Panel\System and Security\System" and click the "System protection" link. You will see the "System Properties" screen open on the "System Protection" tab.
2. Click "Create..." button. You will see the "System Protection" screen asking you to name this new restore point.
3. Enter any name like "Before install X" and click the "Create" button. Windows 8 will start to create a restore point.
4. When it's done, click "System Restore..." to review the list of restore points as described in the previous tutorial.
