Windows 7: Create Restore Point
This section provides a tutorial example on how to create a system restore point manually on Windows 7 system.
Sometimes, you may want to create a system restore point manually just before installing an application software. That restore point will help you to restore your system, if the installation corrupted the system.
1. Go to "Control Panel\System and Security\System" and click the "System protection" link. You will see the "System Properties" screen open on the "System Protection" tab.
2. Click "Create..." button. You will see the "System Protection" screen asking you to name this new restore point.
3. Enter any name like "Before install X" and click the "Create" button. Windows 7 will start to create a restore point.
4. When it's done, click "System Restore..." to review the list of restore points as described in the previous tutorial.
