Disabling Extension Add-Ons in Firefox

This section provides a tutorial example on how to review extension add-ons and decide to keep them or disable them in Firefox.

Now let's review what add-ons have been already installed in Firefox. The first group of add-ons are called "Extensions".

1. Run Firefox and click "Tools > Add-ons" menu. You will see the add-on management screen.

2. Click the "Extensions" icon on the left. You will see a list of extention add-on that are already installed in Firefox.

For example, I have the following extension add-ons installed in my Firefox:

DOM Inspector - Enabled
I used it to inspect the HTML document structure and properties
   presented as DOM objects.

HTML 5.0 Validator - Enabled
I used it to validate HTML documents to see if the meet the HTML
   5.0 standard or not.

Regular Expression Test23 - Disabled
I used it to play with regular expressions.

SQLite Manager - Disabled
I used it manage SQLite database files.

Yahoo! Toolbar - Disabled
It was installed as part of Yahoo! Messenger.

My recommendation is that you should enable an extension add-on if it has a 5 out 5 rating and good reviews, and you absolutely need it.

You should disable or remove all unwanted extension add-ons.
