Visible Light Spectrum
This section describes the visible light spectrum - red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and violet lights.
What Is Visible Light Spectrum? Visible light spectrum is the tiny part of the full light spectrum that human eyes can see. The frequency of visible light ranges from 4 × 1014 Hz to 8 × 1014 Hz approximately.
Visible light spectrum can be divided into 7 regions:
Visible Light Frequency Wavelength
------------- --------- -------
4.0×1014 Hz 7.5×10-7 m
Red Light ↓ ↑
4.8×1014 Hz 6.2×10-7 m
Orange Light ↓ ↑
5.1×1014 Hz 5.9×10-7 m
Yellow Light ↓ ↑
5.3×1014 Hz 5.7×10-7 m
Green Light ↓ ↑
6.0×1014 Hz 5.0×10-7 m
Cyan Light ↓ ↑
6.2×1014 Hz 4.8×10-7 m
Blue Light ↓ ↑
6.7×1014 Hz 4.5×10-7 m
Violet Light ↓ ↑
8.0×1014 Hz 3.7×10-7 m
