Trusted Certificate Store on Android phone

This section provides a tutorial example on how to locate and view the trusted root certificate store on Android phone: Settings > Security > Trusted credentials.

When your Android phone is connected to the Internet, many apps will use the PKI technology to authenticate service providers and encrypt data exchanged between your Android phone and the providers.

An important component of the PKI technology is the trusted certificate store where Root CA certificates are maintained.

Here is how you can find the location of the trusted certificate store on your Android phone.

1. Tap on "Settings > Security" and scroll down to the "Credential storage" section.

2. Tap on "Trusted credentials - Display trusted CA certificates". The list of trusted certificates is displayed.

3. Scroll down to see the all trusted root CA certificates.

You can turn on and turn off any certificate using the switch icon next to the certificate name.
