This section provides a tutorial example on how to use the Uninstall Manager in HijackThis to review programs and components that are currently installed on a Windows system.

Another nice feature of HijackThis is the Uninstall Manager which allows you to review all programs and components that are currently installed in the system:

1. Double click "C:\local\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe". You will see HijackThis started with its main menu:

2. Click the "Open the Misc Tools section" button. You will see the configuration screen with the "Misc Tools" tab open.

3. Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" button. You will a list of programs and components currently installed on the system.

4. Click the "Save list..." button to save the list of programs and components to a file.
