Turning On/Off File Preview Pane
This section provides a tutorial example on how to turn on or turn off file preview pane in Windows Explorer.
Windows Explorer on Windows 7 also supports a Preview pane that allows to see the content of the selected file on the Windows Explorer screen. Here is how to turn on the Preview pane and see the preview of a picture file.
1. Run Windows Explorer and go to C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Landscapes.
2. Click menu: Organizer > Layout > Preview pane to make sure that "Preview pane" is checked. You will see the Preview pane" showing up on the right hand side of the Windows Explorer screen.
3. Click on file name img7.jpg. You will see the picture in img7.jpg displayed in the Preview pane:
Note that turning on preview pane may slow down your computer when you are browsing your folders and files. So turn it off if you don't need it.
