This section describes different options when displaying the file list in a folder in Windows Explorer.

When files are listed in a folder on Windows Explorer, they can be displayed in a number of options:

Extra Large Icons - Each file is listed with an extra large icon to indicate the type of the file, or an extra large picture thumbnail if the file is a picture. Files are listed in multiple columns.
Large Icons - Each file is listed with a large icon to indicate the type of the file, or a large picture thumbnail if the file is a picture. Files are listed in multiple columns.
Medium Icons - Each file is listed with a medium icon to indicate the type of the file, or a medium picture thumbnail if the file is a picture. Files are listed in multiple columns.
Small Icons - Each file is listed with a small icon to indicate the type of the file. Files are listed in multiple columns.
List - Each file is listed with a medium icon to indicate the type of the file. Files are listed in a single column.
Details - Each file is listed with a medium icon to indicate the type of the file and some details about the file like date, type, size, etc.. Files are listed in a single column.
Tiles - Each file is listed with a medium icon to indicate the type of the file, or a medium picture thumbnail if the file is a picture. Some details about the file are also displayed like type and size. Files are listed in multiple columns.
Content - Each file is listed with a small icon to indicate the type of the file, or a small picture thumbnail if the file is a picture. Some details about the file are also displayed like type and size. Files are listed in a single column.
