∟Windows 7: Forefront Configuration Settings

This section provides a tutorial on how to review and modify configurations of Forefront Client Security from Microsoft.

The first thing you should do after installing Forefront Client Security is to review and modify its configuration settings.

1. Click "Start > All Programs > Microsoft Forefront > Forefront Client Security". You will see the home screen of Forefront Client Security.

2. Click "Tools" menu and the "Options" link. You will see a list of default configuration settings:

Automatic scanning
   [x] Automatically scan my computer (recommended)
      Frequency: Monday
      Approximate time: 5:00 PM
      Type: Full system scan
      [x] Run a quick scan on my computer multiple times per day
      [x] Check for updated definitions before scanning
      [x] Apply default actions to items detected during scan
