Introduction of PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor
This section provides a quick introduction of PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, which was originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995. PHP is now a widely-used general-purpose scripting language.
What Is PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor)? - PHP is a widely-used general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML.
PHP was originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1995. But PHP main implementation is now maintained by "The PHP Group" and serves as the formal reference to the PHP language. The current version of PHP main implementation is PHP 5.4.0 released in March 2012.
