LSP-Fix - LSP Stack Repair Tool
This section provides a tutorial example on how to download and run LSP-Fix as a Winsock 2 LSP stack repair tool developed by rexx.org.
If Winsock LSP stack entries are corrupted in the registry, you will not be able to use your Web browsers to connect to any Websites or run any other Internet applications.
To repair your Winsock LSP stack, you can use LSP-Fix developed by cexx.org. Here is what I did to download and run LSP-Fix:
1. Go to http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm.
2. Click LSP-Fix (.zip) v1.1. Save the download file to: c:\download\lspfix.zip
3. Unzip lspfix.zip and run the LSPFix.exe file. LSP-Fix will check all LSP stack entries and report problems with a simple window as shown in this picture:
As you can see, my LSP stack is clean. There are 3 Windows original entries: mswsock.dll, winrnr.dll and rsvpsp.dll, that need to be maintained. There is no extra LSP stack entry that has a missing DLL file.
