DSL Modem Internet Connection Details
This section provides a tutorial example of how to view and change configuration details of the PPP network that connects the DSL modem to the DSL server at the telephone company.
As mentioned in the previous section, the gateway modem controls two networks: the PPP network and the home network. The PPP network connects the DSL modem to the DSL server at the telephone company. The "Internet Connection" area of the modem configuration represents the PPP network settings. So let's review the "Internet Connection" area first:
1. Open a Web browser and enter this address: http://192.168.2.1/. The configuration main page shows up.
2. Click the "Internet Connection" icon on top of the page. The Internet connection summary page shows up.
3. Click the "Details" menu entry. The Internet connection details page shows up:
4. Review the Internet connection details and status:

All default settings are working perfectly. If you want to change any setting, you need to click the "Advanced Settings" menu entry.
