Malware Removal by Anti-Virus Tools

This section provides a quick introduction of removing malware with commercial or freeware generic anti-virus tools, or tools specifically designed to remove a particular malware on Windows systems.

If you have a commercial anti-virus tool installed on your Windows system, it will detect most malware and provide removal process. You can simply follow the removal instructions given by the anti-virus tool to remove the malware from your system.

If your commercial anti-virus tool fails to detect the malware, you can try some well known free anti-virus tools to help detect and remove the malware:

If commercial and free anti-virus tool fails to detect the malware, and know the malware name that infected your Windows system, you search and find some tools that specifically designed to remove that malware.

For example, if symptoms of your infected Windows system match the malware "Vundo", you can try to use the free tool "VundoFix" provided at http://vundofix.atribune.org/ to remove the malware.

Note that are many rogue malware removal tools out there on the Internet. Before you download and use any malware removal tool, search and read reviews about the tool first.

If none of the trusted tools can help you to remove the malware, you have to try to remove it manually yourself. See next section for more details.
