Creating Oracle Database Users

This section describes how to create a database user on the Oracle server through the Web interface.

During the installation process, only one administration login user was created on the Oracle server. When connecting Java programs to the server, it's better to use a regular login user. Here is what I did to create a user called "Herong" through the admin Web interface.

Username: Herong
Email Address: herong@localhost
Workspace: INTERNAL (10)
Default Schema: APEX_040000
User is an administrator: Yes
User ia a developer: Yes
Password: T0p$ecret
Require Change of Password on First Use: No

Click the "Create" button. User "Herong" is created. See the user list page below:
